JASDEEP GILL-KAHLON
Jasdeep Gill-Kahlon was born and raised in North Delta and relocated to the Fraser Valley in 2021, where she now proudly calls home. She completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2013. During her studies, Jas worked at law firms as a legal administrative assistant, an office manager for a rehabilitation company, and gained valuable experience as a residential youth support worker for at-risk youth.
Jas then went on to pursue her law degree at Thompson Rivers University, graduating in 2019. During her time in law school, she was awarded the Dean’s Course Prize in Employment Law for achieving the highest grade in the course. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2020.
Following law school, Jas completed her articles at a large firm in Vancouver, where she began honing her skills as a litigator. In 2020, Jas was involved in a landmark trial resulting in a judgment of over $9,000,000 for a client who sustained a traumatic brain injury in a motor vehicle accident. This award represented the largest reported personal injury judgment in the province as of that date.
Thereafter, she continued her legal career at two firms in the Fraser Valley, where she gained extensive experience across a wide range of practice areas.
In 2025, Jas, alongside Michael and Daniel, founded Sorensen Truong LLP, bringing their shared commitment to providing high-quality legal services with a focus on integrity, professionalism, and client satisfaction.
EXPERIENCE AND PRACTICE
Jas is an experienced litigator who has appeared before both the Provincial and Supreme Court in British Columbia. Jas’s practice spans a wide range of legal areas, including Family Law, Estate Litigation, Employment Law, and Civil Litigation. With family law matters, Jas assists clients with separation, divorce, parenting arrangements, child and spousal support, property division and cohabitation, marriage and separation agreements.
While she thoroughly enjoys advocating for clients in court, Jas understands that litigation can be costly, and she strives to resolve disputes through out-of-court settlements whenever possible. She regularly engages in negotiations and mediations to help clients reach fair and effective solutions.
In addition to her litigation expertise, Jas is also dedicated to helping clients with their estate planning needs. She drafts wills, representation agreements, and powers of attorney, ensuring her clients’ wishes are clearly documented and safeguarded.
IN THE COMMUNITY
Jas is deeply committed to her community. She currently serves as the President of the Abbotsford & District Bar Association, where she plays an important role in fostering collegiately and supporting legal practitioners in the region. She has also served as a director on the Board of the Abbotsford Soccer Association.
In addition to her leadership roles, Jas is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia.
Outside of her legal work, Jas is passionate about staying active and enjoys hot yoga, spin classes, and hiking. She also loves exploring new restaurants and cafes, always eager to try new places in town.
